Industrial engineering is a branch of engineering dealing with the
optimization of complex processes or systems. It is concerned with the
development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems
of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, materials,
analysis and synthesis, as well as the mathematical, physical and social
sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering design to
specify, predict, and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems or
processes.
Many universities have BS, MS, and M.Tech and PhD programs available.
Educational Qualification: Minimum 50% Marks in
Higher Secondary Exam or the Indian
School
For IIT/BITS/VIT Pilani Minimum 60% Marks for General OBC Category & 55% Marks
for SC/ST
Age for general category should not have crossed 25 years of age on 01 October
of the Years of Admission.
Duration 4 Years
